Why do we believe and tell ourselves over and over that we do not serve? (Part II)
Matthew 15: 15-20
"Then Peter said to Jesus, “Tell us this picture-story so we can understand it.” Jesus said, “Do you not understand yet? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But whatever comes from the mouth has come out of the heart. These things make the man unclean inside. For out of the heart come bad thoughts, killing other people, sex sins of a married person, sex sins of a person not married, stealing, lying, speaking against God. These are the things that make the man unclean inside. It does not make a man sinful to eat with hands that have not been washed.”"

Now, why do we believe and tell ourselves over and over that we do not serve?
"Keep your heart pure for out of it are the important things of life. Put false speaking away from you. Put bad talk far from you. Let your eyes look straight in front of you, and keep looking at what is in front of you. Watch the path of your feet, and all your ways will be sure. Do not turn to the right or to the left. Turn your foot away from sin."(Proverbs 4: 23-27)
Unarmed and unprotected our heart is out in the open, but the lack of capacity for judgment causes us harm ourselves ! Our Lord Jesus well warned "But whatever comes from the mouth has come out of the heart. These things make the man unclean inside. For out of the heart come bad thoughts, killing other people, sex sins of a married person, sex sins of a person not married, stealing, lying, speaking against God." (Matthew 15: 18-19)
Today is a good day for us to understand that if we are useful! We were created by God! We are important! We are praise of the Glory of God! "Let us honor and thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has already given us a taste of what heaven is like. Even before the world was made, God chose us for Himself because of His love. He planned that we should be holy and without blame as He sees us. God already planned to have us as His own children. This was done by Jesus Christ. In His plan God wanted this done. We thank God for His loving-favor to us. He gave this loving-favor to us through His much-loved Son. Because of the blood of Christ, we are bought and made free from the punishment of sin. And because of His blood, our sins are forgiven. His loving-favor to us is so rich. He was so willing to give all of this to us. He did this with wisdom and understanding. God told us the secret of what He wanted to do. It is this: In loving thought He planned long ago to send Christ into the world. The plan was for Christ to gather us all together at the right time. If we are in heaven or still on earth, He will bring us together and will be head over all. We were already chosen to be God’s own children by Christ. This was done just like the plan He had. We who were the first to put our trust in Christ should thank Him for His greatness. The truth is the Good News. When you heard the truth, you put your trust in Christ. Then God marked you by giving you His Holy Spirit as a promise. The Holy Spirit was given to us as a promise that we will receive everything God has for us. God’s Spirit will be with us until God finishes His work of making us complete. God does this to show His shining-greatness." (Ephesians 1: 3-14)
