The Lord has given us so many gifts ... to trample them or offer them to the world? (Part III)
Exodus 12: 35-36
"The people of Israel had done what Moses had said. They had asked the Egyptians for things made of silver and gold and for clothes. And the Lord had given the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians. So the Egyptians let them have whatever they asked for. And they took the best things of Egypt."

4. The people of Israel giving their gifts to the world?: "When the people saw that Moses was staying a long time before coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron, and said, “Come, make a god for us who will go in front of us. For we do not know what has become of Moses, the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt.” Aaron said to them, “Take the objects of gold from the ears of your wives, your sons and your daughters, and bring them to me.” So all the people took the gold objects from their ears and brought them to Aaron. He took the gold from their hands, worked on it with a sharp tool, and by melting it, made it into a calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.” When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of it. Aaron said to all the people, “Tomorrow will be a special supper to the Lord.” So the next day they got up early and gave burnt gifts and peace gifts. The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down. For your people, whom you brought out of the land of Egypt, have turned to sin. They have been quick to turn aside from the way I have told them. They have melted gold and made a calf for themselves. They have worshiped it, have given gifts to it, and have said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt!’”" (Exodus 32: 1-8)
Nowadays:
a. How many times have we trampled on the gift of salvation that Christ gave us through His sacrifice on the cross? (John 3: 16-17)
b. How many times have we delivered our royalty for crumbs that the world offers us? (1 Peter 2: 9)
c. How many times have we given up our freedom by being subjected to slavery again? (James 1: 12-15)
d. Will the world value us? Will the world appreciate us after we bring him the gifts that God gave us? (Matthew 12: 43-45)
Can we tell what the Lord has given us?
To you male a wife, will you offer her for an infidelity? (Proverbs 22:14), to you woman a husband, will we offer it out of desire and lust? (1 John 2:16), a family, will we offer it by loneliness? (Mark 3: 24-25), employment, will we offer it for laziness? (Proverbs 6: 6-8), a company, will we offer it for negligence? (Proverbs 10: 4), joy, will we offer it out of sorrow? (Proverbs 17:22), the birthright, will we offer it for a plate of lentils? (Genesis 25: 27-34), a life, will we offer it by death? (Ezekiel 18:32), a Salvation, will we offer it for slavery again? (Hebrews 10: 26-27)
Wake up, the consequences can be dire! Maybe tomorrow will be late!
