The Lord has given us so many gifts ... to trample them or offer them to the world? (Part II)

Exodus 12: 35-36
"The people of Israel had done what Moses had said. They had asked the Egyptians for things made of silver and gold and for clothes. And the Lord had given the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians. So the Egyptians let them have whatever they asked for. And they took the best things of Egypt."

John 3:16

The best example can be seen when we make a panorama with the people of Israel:
1. The people of Israel are enslaved: "Then a new king came into power over Egypt. He did not know Joseph. He said to his people, “See, the people of Israel are too many and too powerful for us. Come, let us be wise in how we act towards them, or they will become more in number. If there is a war, they might join with those who hate us. They might fight against us and then leave the land.” So they put men in power over them to make them work hard. And they built the store-cities Pithom and Raamses for Pharaoh the king. But the more the Egyptians made them suffer, the more they became until they spread throughout the land. So the Egyptians were afraid of the people of Israel. The Egyptians made the people of Israel work very hard. They made their lives bitter with hard work building with stones and with all kinds of work in the field. They made them work very hard. Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew nurses. The name of one was Shiphrah. The name of the other was Puah. He said, “When you are helping the Hebrew women to give birth, and see the baby before the mother does, if it is a son, kill him. But if it is a daughter, let her live.”" (Exodus 1: 8-16)
Today ... What or who submits us to slavery?
2. God's plan to give the people of Israel freedom, healing, salvation and prosperity: "The Lord said, “I have seen the suffering of My people in Egypt. I have heard their cry because of the men who make them work. I know how they suffer. So I have come down to save them from the power of the Egyptians. I will bring them out of that land to a good big land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. Now the cry of the people of Israel has come to Me. I have seen what power the Egyptians use to make it hard for them." (Exodus 3: 7-9).
Today ... How many times have we heard the Gospel?
3. The promise of God fulfilled with all his gifts: "Pharaoh got up in the night, he and his servants and all the Egyptians. And there was a loud cry in Egypt. For there was no home where there was not someone dead. Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron at night. He said, “Get up and go away from my people, both you and the people of Israel. Go and worship the Lord, as you have said. Take your flocks and your cattle, as you have said, and go. And pray that good will come to me also.” The Egyptians were trying to make the people hurry out of the land. For they said, “We will all be dead.” So the people took their dough before yeast had been added. They tied their dough pots in their clothes on their shoulders. The people of Israel had done what Moses had said. They had asked the Egyptians for things made of silver and gold and for clothes. And the Lord had given the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians. So the Egyptians let them have whatever they asked for. And they took the best things of Egypt. " (Exodus 12: 30-36)
Today ... How many have we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior?

To be continued...

God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
