Is the Word of God preached in the place where we gather? (Part II)
2 Corinthians 2:14-17
"We thank God for the power Christ has given us. He leads us and makes us win in everything. He speaks through us wherever we go. The Good News is like a sweet smell to those who hear it. We are a sweet smell of Christ that reaches up to God. It reaches out to those who are being saved from the punishment of sin and to those who are still lost in sin. It is the smell of death to those who are lost in sin. It is the smell of life to those who are being saved from the punishment of sin. Who is able for such a work? We are not like others. They preach God’s Word to make money. We are men of truth and have been sent by God. We speak God’s Word with Christ’s power. All the time God sees us."

6. Do we hear songs that exalt the greatness of the Father, the Salvation granted by the Sacrifice of Jesus and the essence of the Holy Spirit? "Let us give thanks all the time to God through Jesus Christ. Our gift to Him is to give thanks. Our lips should always give thanks to His name." (Hebrews 13:15), "“O give thanks to the Lord. Call upon His name. Let the people know what He has done. Sing to Him. Sing praises to Him. Tell of all His great works. Have joy in His holy name. Let the heart of those who look to the Lord be glad." (1 Chronicles 16: 8-10), "Praise the Lord, O my soul. And all that is within me, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul. And forget none of His acts of kindness." (Psalms 103: 1-2), "Let them call out for joy and be glad, who want to see the right thing done for me. Let them always say, “May the Lord be honored. He is pleased when all is going well for His servant.” And my tongue will tell about how right and good You are, and about Your praise all day long." (Psalm 35: 27-28)
7. our ministers ... they minister? "Good comes from a good man because of the riches he has in his heart. Sin comes from a sinful man because of the sin he has in his heart. The mouth speaks of what the heart is full of." (Luke 6:45), "It must not be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great among you, let him care for you. Whoever wants to be first among you, must be the one who is owned and cares for all." (Mark 10: 43-44)
8. has our worship and worship venue become a show to draw the attention of the brothers? "But I have this one thing against you. You do not love Me as you did at first. Remember how you once loved Me. Be sorry for your sin and love Me again as you did at first. If you do not, I will come to you and take your light out of its place. I will do this unless you are sorry for your sin and turn from it." (Revelation 2: 4-5), "So the Lord says, “If you return, then I will let you take your place again, standing before Me. And if you take out what is of worth from what is of no worth, then you will speak for Me. Let these people turn to you, but you must not turn to them." (Jeremiah 15:19)
9. is it called to fast, study the Word and pray? "But when they were sick, I put on clothes made from hair. With no pride in my soul, I would not eat. And I prayed with my head on my chest. I went about as if it were my friend or brother. I put my head down in sorrow, like one crying for his mother." (Psalms 35: 13-14), "Then I set apart a time there at the river of Ahava when we would not eat any food. This was so we might put away our pride before our God, and pray that He would keep us and our children and all our things safe as we traveled." (Ezra 8:21), "So I turned to the Lord God in prayer and did not eat. I dressed in cloth made from hair, and threw ashes on myself. I prayed to the Lord my God and told him the sins of my people, saying, “O Lord, you are great and we fear You. You keep Your agreement and show loving-kindness to those who love You and keep Your Laws. “But we have sinned. We have done wrong and have acted in sin. We have turned against You and against Your Laws." (Daniel 9: 3-5), "Anna was a woman who spoke God’s Word. She was the daughter of Phanuel of the family group of Asher. Anna was many years old. She had lived with her husband seven years after she was married. Her husband had died and she had lived without a husband eighty-four years. Yet she did not go away from the house of God. She served God day and night, praying and going without food so she could pray better." (Luke 2: 36-37)
10. do you hear testimony? "I have reason to be proud of my work for God. It is because I belong to Christ Jesus. I can only speak of what Christ has done through me. I have helped the people who are not Jews to obey Him. I have done it by words and by living with them. God showed them His power through me. The Holy Spirit did powerful works through me in front of them. From Jerusalem to the country of Illyricum I have preached the Good News of Christ." (Romans 15: 17-19), "What I say is true and all the world should receive it. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners from their sin and I am the worst sinner. And yet God had loving-kindness for me. Jesus Christ used me to show how long He will wait for even the worst sinners. In that way, others will know they can have life that lasts forever also." (1 Timothy 1: 15-16)
