While we sleep comes our enemy and sows tares... (Part II) 

Matthew 13: 24-26
"Jesus told them another picture-story. He said, “The holy nation of heaven is like a man who planted good seed in his field. During the night someone who hated him came and planted weed seed with the good seed in his field and went away. When the good seed started to grow and give grain, weeds came up also."

This is not a game "Keep awake! Watch at all times. The devil is working against you. He is walking around like a hungry lion with his mouth open. He is looking for someone to eat. Stand against him and be strong in your faith. Remember, other Christians over all the world are suffering the same as you are." (1 Peter 5: 8-9) ... It is no use for us to be hearers and not doers. "Obey the Word of God. If you hear only and do not act, you are only fooling yourself." (James 1:22)!
To give an example, a son of God is "But you are a chosen group of people. You are the King’s religious leaders. You are a holy nation. You belong to God. He has done this for you so you can tell others how God has called you out of darkness into His great light. At one time you were a people of no use. Now you are the people of God. At one time you did not have loving-kindness. Now you have God’s loving-kindness." (1 Peter 2: 9-10) ... So we are children of God? Are we proclaiming the virtues of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light? We are sleeping? Are we not supposed to proclaim the greatness of God "For I will make known the name of the Lord. I will tell of the greatness of God!" (Deuteronomy 32:3)? What is the reason for not sharing the Word of God with our fellow men? Would we share the Word of God with the one who has hurt us? Bitterness? Annoyance? Rage? Has tares been sown in our hearts? Was that when we slept?
"See that no one misses God’s loving-favor. Do not let wrong thoughts about others get started among you. If you do, many people will be turned to a life of sin." (Hebrews 12:15) ... Is our Salvation in crisis?
If we are children of God, laziness is not our virtue! Did not we know that "If you are weak in the day of trouble, your strength is small." (Proverbs 24:10)? "When men are lazy, the roof begins to fall in. When they will do no work, the rain comes into the house." (Ecclesiastes 10:18).
Therefore, "It happened as the early preacher said it would happen, “I will open My mouth in picture-stories. I will tell things which have been kept secret from the beginning of the world.” After Jesus sent the people away, He went into the house. His followers came to Him and said, “Tell us what You mean by the picture-story of the weeds in the field.” Jesus said, “He Who plants the good seed is the Son of Man."(Matthew 13: 35-37)

How do we walk with discernment?
Many sheep that should be in the affairs of the kingdom begin a little nap and when they wake up they are so lost, away from the herd and in the hands of a herd of wolves ... Are we that kind of sheep fall asleep? Are we of the sheep that are sober and watchful because they are attentive to the voice of the Master? "My sheep hear My voice and I know them. They follow Me. I give them life that lasts forever. They will never be punished. No one is able to take them out of My hand." (John 10:27-28)

Hey wake up! Look that the bad guy is here and wants to sow tares in you!
