While we sleep comes our enemy and sows tares... (Part I) 

Matthew 13: 24-26
"Jesus told them another picture-story. He said, “The holy nation of heaven is like a man who planted good seed in his field. During the night someone who hated him came and planted weed seed with the good seed in his field and went away. When the good seed started to grow and give grain, weeds came up also."

After an arduous day of work all we want is to sleep, however, the "sleep" that is spoken today refers to the context of failing to do what we obviously have to do for discouragement, annoyance, we do not give the importance that deserves or simply, laziness.
A christian must be sober and vigilant in the work he performs, he can not be neglected, nor much less make use of laziness, knowing that "The Holy Spirit tells us in plain words that in the last days some people will turn away from the faith. They will listen to what is said about spirits and follow the teaching about demons." (1 Timothy 4: 1). Our Salvation is at stake! We must retain what has been given to us with fear and trembling! We are responsible for our actions for it "I am coming very soon. Hold on to what you have so no one can take your crown." (Revelation 3:11) "My Christian friends, you have obeyed me when I was with you. You have obeyed even more when I have been away. You must keep on working to show you have been saved from the punishment of sin. Be afraid that you may not please God. He is working in you. God is helping you obey Him. God is doing what He wants done in you." (Philippians 2: 12-13).
