Should we remember manners and responsibilities? (Part III)
"Then he left there and went to Bethel. On the way, some young boys came out from the city and made fun of him. They said to him, “Go up, you man with no hair! Go up, you man with no hair!” He looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two female bears came from among the trees and tore up forty-two of the boys."
8. Do we offer the seat on public transportation (Empathy)? "“Do for other people whatever you would like to have them do for you. This is what the Jewish Law and the early preachers said." (Matthew 7:12), "The man said, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart. You must love Him with all your soul. You must love Him with all your strength. You must love Him with all your mind. You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Jesus said to him, “You have said the right thing. Do this and you will have life.”" (Luke 10: 27-28), "Let all people see how gentle you are. The Lord is coming again soon." (Philippians 4: 5), "Do not let yourselves get tired of doing good. If we do not give up, we will get what is coming to us at the right time. Because of this, we should do good to everyone. For sure, we should do good to those who belong to Christ."(Galatians 6: 9-10) "Keep on loving each other as Christian brothers. Do not forget to be kind to strangers and let them stay in your home. Some people have had angels in their homes without knowing it." (Hebrews 13: 1-2).
9. Do we interrupt others when they speak? "My Christian brothers, you know everyone should listen much and speak little. He should be slow to become angry. 20 A man’s anger does not allow him to be right with God."(James 1: 19-20), "If one gives an answer before he hears, it makes him foolish and ashamed." (Proverbs 18:13). "Everyone knows this is true, so you must not cry out or do anything foolish."(Acts 19:36)
10. Do we respect the elders ?: "The honor of young men is their strength. And the honor of old men is their hair turning white." (Proverbs 20:29), "In the same way, you younger men must obey the church leaders. Be gentle as you care for each other. God works against those who have pride. He gives His loving-favor to those who do not try to honor themselves." (1 Peter 5: 5), "Do not speak sharp words to an older man. Talk with him as if he were a father. Talk to younger men as brothers. Talk to older women as mothers. Talk to younger women as sisters, keeping yourself pure."(1 Timothy 5: 1-2), "Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not hate your mother when she is old."(Proverbs 23:22) "‘Show respect to the person with white hair. Honor an older person and you will honor your God. I am the Lord." (Leviticus 19:32), "Children, as Christians, obey your parents. This is the right thing to do. Respect your father and mother. This is the first Law given that had a promise. The promise is this: If you respect your father and mother, you will live a long time and your life will be full of many good things." (Ephesians 6: 1-3)
11. First, women: "Nothing should be done because of pride or thinking about yourself. Think of other people as more important than yourself. Do not always be thinking about your own plans only. Be happy to know what other people are doing." (Philippians 2: 3-4), "Do not work only for your own good. Think of what you can do for others." (1 Corinthians 10:24). "What if a person has enough money to live on and sees his brother in need of food and clothing? If he does not help him, how can the love of God be in him? My children, let us not love with words or in talk only. Let us love by what we do and in truth."(1 John 3: 17-18), "My Christian brothers, what good does it do if you say you have faith but do not do things that prove you have faith? Can that kind of faith save you from the punishment of sin? What if a Christian does not have clothes or food? And one of you says to him, “Goodbye, keep yourself warm and eat well.” But if you do not give him what he needs, how does that help him? A faith that does not do things is a dead faith."(James 2: 14-17), "The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living." (Genesis 3:20), "In the same way, husbands should understand and respect their wives, because women are weaker than men. Remember, both husband and wife are to share together the gift of life that lasts forever. If this is not done, you will find it hard to pray." (1 Peter 3: 7)
Remembering good manners and responsibilities? Will we need to read the Bible?
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
