Do we admire and respect God? (Part III)
Deuteronomy 10: 12-13
"“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you? He wants you to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him. He wants you to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul. He wants you to keep all the Laws of the Lord which I am telling you today for your good."
8. For He is sovereign: "There is one Lord and one faith and one baptism. 6 There is one God. He is the Father of us all. He is over us all. He is the One working through us all. He is the One living in us all." (Ephesians 4: 5-6) "The kings of the earth stand in a line ready to fight, and all the leaders are against the Lord and against His Chosen One. They say, “Let us break their chains and throw them away from us.” He Who sits in the heavens laughs. The Lord makes fun of them. Then He will speak to them in His anger and make them afraid, saying," (Psalms 2: 2-5) Do we doubt His sovereignty?
9. For He is healer: "He forgives all my sins. He heals all my diseases. He saves my life from the grave. He crowns me with loving-kindness and pity. He fills my years with good things and I am made young again like the eagle." (Psalm 103: 3-5), "I have seen his ways and will heal him. I will lead him and give comfort to him and to those who have sorrow for him. I will make the lips to praise. Peace, peace to him who is far and to him who is near,” says the Lord, “and I will heal him.”" (Isaiah 57: 18-19) How many times God has healed us? How many of us have known someone that the Lord has changed the medical dictamen of a terminal illness?
10. For He is early relief: "Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble. And He took them out of all their problems. He stopped the storm, and the waves of the sea became quiet. Then they were glad because the sea became quiet. And He led them to the safe place they wanted." (Psalm 107: 28-30), "I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where will my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 121: 1-2). "Let us go with complete trust to the throne of God. We will receive His loving-kindness and have His loving-favor to help us whenever we need it."(Hebrews 4:16) How many things has the Lord saved us? Have you ever left us helpless? Does God deserves our admiration and respect on this?
11. For He is immovable Rock: "As for God, His way is perfect. The Word of the Lord is proven true. He is a covering to all who go to Him to be safe. “For who is God, but the Lord? Who is a Rock, except our God?" (2 Samuel 22: 31-32), "The Rock! His work is perfect. All His ways are right and fair. A God Who is faithful and without sin, right and good is He." (Deuteronomy 32: 4) Admirable, no?
12. For He is mighty: "I know that the Lord is great. He is greater than all gods. 6 The Lord does whatever is pleasing to Him, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and in all waters." (Psalm 135: 5-6), "For God can do all things.”" (Luke 1:37), "God is able to do much more than we ask or think through His power working in us. May we see His shining-greatness in the church. May all people in all time honor Christ Jesus. Let it be so." (Ephesians 3: 20-21) ... Absolutely astounding! How can we not admire God for his power?
13. For He is merciful: "When you are in trouble and all these things have happened to you in later days, you will return to the Lord your God and listen to His voice. 31 For the Lord your God is a God of loving-pity. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the agreement He promised to your fathers." (Deuteronomy 4: 30-31), "But God had so much loving-kindness. He loved us with such a great love. Even when we were dead because of our sins, He made us alive by what Christ did for us. You have been saved from the punishment of sin by His loving-favor. God raised us up from death when He raised up Christ Jesus. He has given us a place with Christ in the heavens. He did this to show us through all the time to come the great riches of His loving-favor. He has shown us His kindness through Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2: 4-7), "Let us thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It was through His loving-kindness that we were born again to a new life and have a hope that never dies. This hope is ours because Jesus was raised from the dead. We will receive the great things that we have been promised. They are being kept safe in heaven for us. They are pure and will not pass away. They will never be lost. You are being kept by the power of God because you put your trust in Him and you will be saved from the punishment of sin at the end of the world." (1 Peter 1: 3-5) Not beautiful?
