¿Limping at the door of the Church? (Part II)
Acts 3:1-10
'Peter and John were going to the house of God about three o’clock. It was the time for prayer. Each day a certain man was carried to the Beautiful Gate of the house of God. This man had never been able to walk. He was there begging for money from those who were going in. He asked Peter and John for money when he saw them going in. Peter and John looked at him. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” The man who could not walk looked at them. He thought he would get something from them. Peter said, “I have no money, but what I have I will give you! In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” Peter took the man by the right hand and lifted him up. At once his feet and the bones in his legs became strong. He jumped up on his feet and walked. Then he went into the house of God with them. He gave thanks to God as he walked. All the people saw him walking and giving thanks to God. They knew it was the man who had been sitting and begging at the Beautiful Gate. They were surprised he was walking.'(Ecclesiastes 10:18) ... Come on! Let us seek in prayer to the Lord: "For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for well-being and not for trouble, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will look for Me and find Me, when you look for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13) so that "Do not worry. Learn to pray about everything. Give thanks to God as you ask Him for what you need." (Philippians 4:6). ... He expects our prayer!
3. We went from event to event, looking for the "pastor, evangelist, teacher" to bless us even when God over us unleashed blessing: "It is bad for those who go down to Egypt for help, and trust in the many horses and war-wagons, and in the much strength of their horsemen. They do not look to the Holy One of Israel or ask the Lord for help." (Isaiah 31:1) ... We must understand that "There is one God. There is one Man standing between God and men. That Man is Christ Jesus. He gave His life for all men so they could go free and not be held by the power of sin. God made this known to the world at the right time." (1 Timothy 2:5-6), it is not men, it is God! "Let us honor and thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has already given us a taste of what heaven is like. Even before the world was made, God chose us for Himself because of His love. He planned that we should be holy and without blame as He sees us. God already planned to have us as His own children. This was done by Jesus Christ. In His plan God wanted this done. We thank God for His loving-favor to us. He gave this loving-favor to us through His much-loved Son. Because of the blood of Christ, we are bought and made free from the punishment of sin. And because of His blood, our sins are forgiven. His loving-favor to us is so rich. He was so willing to give all of this to us. He did this with wisdom and understanding. God told us the secret of what He wanted to do. It is this: In loving thought He planned long ago to send Christ into the world. The plan was for Christ to gather us all together at the right time. If we are in heaven or still on earth, He will bring us together and will be head over all. " (Ephesians 1:3-10). ¿What worry us? "Give all your worries to Him because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) so that "And my God will give you everything you need because of His great riches in Christ Jesus. Now may our God and Father be honored forever. Let it be so." (Philippians 4:19-20).
¿What is the reason we have to keep limping at the door of the Church and not dare to enter to take that blessing that has already been delegated to us?
"But we have power over all these things through Jesus Who loves us so much. For I know that nothing can keep us from the love of God. Death cannot! Life cannot! Angels cannot! Leaders cannot! Any other power cannot! Hard things now or in the future cannot! The world above or the world below cannot! Any other living thing cannot keep us away from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
