¿In a vicious circle? (Part I)

John 5:5-14

'A man was there who had been sick for thirty-eight years. Jesus saw him lying there and knew the man had been sick a long time. Jesus said to him, “Would you like to be healed?” The sick man said, “Sir, I have no one to put me in the pool when the water is moving. While I am coming, another one gets in first.” Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your bed and walk.” At once the man was healed and picked up his bed and walked. This happened on the Day of Rest. The Jews said to the man who had been healed, “This is the Day of Rest. It is against the Law for you to carry your bed.” He said to them, “The Man Who healed me said to me, ‘Pick up your bed and walk.’ Then the Jews asked him, “What man said to you, ‘Pick up your bed and walk’?” The man who had been healed did not know Who He was. Jesus had gone away while many people were there. Later Jesus found the man who had been healed in the house of God. He said to him, “Listen! You have been healed. Stop sinning or something worse will come to you.”'

A vice is an action or behavior that leads us little by little to deterioration and physical, moral, mental and spiritual harm due to lack of thorough judgment and determination. A vicious circle is when we are practicing a vice over and over again, and not having the ability to discern how this affects me, or, not having the strength to stop doing what is doing me wrong.
The Bible says, "My people are destroyed because they have not learned..." (Hosea 4: 6a), "There are men who have been made free from the sins of the world by learning to know the Lord Jesus Christ, the One Who saves. But if they do these sins again, and are not able to keep from doing them, they are worse than they were before." (2 Peter 2:20) ...
¿How?:
Alcoholism? Smoking? Disorderly sex life? Cowardice? Lazy? Infidelity? Liar? Speak bad? Impatience? Theft? Lust? Masturbation? Drug addiction? Harmful relations? ....
This world offers us darkness and darkness, it invites us constantly to continue practicing the previous ones and many more, nevertheless, 
¿Want  to leave of that vicious circle?
¿What teaches us the Bible?
