¿Limping at the door of the Church? (Part I)

Acts 3:1-10
'Peter and John were going to the house of God about three o’clock. It was the time for prayer. Each day a certain man was carried to the Beautiful Gate of the house of God. This man had never been able to walk. He was there begging for money from those who were going in. He asked Peter and John for money when he saw them going in. Peter and John looked at him. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” The man who could not walk looked at them. He thought he would get something from them. Peter said, “I have no money, but what I have I will give you! In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” Peter took the man by the right hand and lifted him up. At once his feet and the bones in his legs became strong. He jumped up on his feet and walked. Then he went into the house of God with them. He gave thanks to God as he walked. All the people saw him walking and giving thanks to God. They knew it was the man who had been sitting and begging at the Beautiful Gate. They were surprised he was walking.'

Many of us know that God is all-powerful. "The Lord God says, “I am the First and the Last, the beginning and the end of all things. I am the All-powerful One Who was and Who is and Who is to come.”" (Revelation 1:8) in God there isn't impossibles "“I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27) and that for us his miracles are still valid because "“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away." (Matthew 24:35). In addition to this we know that praying, fasting and meditating on the Word of God nourish us and set patterns in such a way that strengthen our spiritual life! (Luke 2:36-37; Ezra 8:23). Therefore, many of these things are learned by attending church (Hebrews 10:25) because we hear there the Word of God, and by hearing the Word of God we acquire faith. "So then, faith comes to us by hearing the Good News. And the Good News comes by someone preaching it." (Romans 10:17), and this faith helps us to live and deal with circumstances that we have day by day (Hebrews 11:1, Matthew 17:20, Hebrews 11:6, Ephesians 6:16).
Although we know all these things, we prefer to limp at the door of the church....
¿How?
1. We prefer to enter the church in body, but our mind is outside entangled in preoccupations: "The seed that fell among rocks is like people who receive the Word with joy when they hear it. Their roots are not deep so they live only a short time. When sorrow and trouble come because of the Word, they give up and fall away. The seed that was planted among thorns is like some people who listen to the Word. But the cares of this life let thorns come up. A love for riches and always wanting other things let thorns grow. These things do not give the Word room to grow so it does not give grain." (Mark 4:16-19) ... It's better: "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ This is the first Law." (Mark 12:30)

To be continued...

God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
