How do we see those around us? With our eyes or the vision of God? (Part I)
2 Corinthians 4:15-18
“These things happened for your good. As more people receive God’s favor, they will give thanks for the shining-greatness of God. This is the reason we do not give up. Our human body is wearing out. But our spirits are getting stronger every day. The little troubles we suffer now for a short time are making us ready for the great things God is going to give us forever. We do not look at the things that can be seen. We look at the things that cannot be seen. The things that can be seen will come to an end. But the things that cannot be seen will last forever.”Do we know how many times a day God is betrayed? Do we know how many times a day God is lied to? Do we know how many times a day humanity turns its back on God? ... Well says the Bible "’These people show respect to Me with their mouth, but their heart is far from Me." (Matthew 15: 8)... "The Holy Writings say, “There is not one person who is right with God. No, not even one! There is not one who understands. There is not one who tries to find God.” Everyone has turned away from God. They have all done wrong. Not one of them does what is good. No, not even one!" (Romans 3: 10-12)
The question is ... Should God numb his heart? In no way ... "For He knows what we are made of. He remembers that we are dust." (Psalm 103: 14) ... rather "The Lord came to us from far away, saying, “I have loved you with a love that lasts forever. So I have helped you come to Me with loving-kindness." (Jeremiah 31: 3), therefore, he demands of us that "I want loving-kindness and not a gift to be given in worship. I want people to know God instead of giving burnt gifts." (Hosea 6: 6). God decided to love us without condition or limits (John 3: 16-17)
There is no formula to make us immune to when someone hurts us! The truth of all is that this will happen and will continue to pass ... The Bible says "You will hear of wars and lots of talk about wars, but do not be afraid. These things must happen, but it is not the end yet. Nations will have wars with other nations. Countries will fight against countries. There will be no food for people. The earth will shake and break apart in different places. These things are the beginning of sorrows and pains. “Then they will hand you over to be hurt. They will kill you. You will be hated by all the world because of My name." (Matthew 24: 6-9) Jesus teaches us that we can have peace in the storm. "I have told you these things so you may have peace in Me. In the world you will have much trouble. But take hope! I have power over the world!”" (John 16:33)
It is not a feeling or moving under the impulse of how we feel in a day ... The feelings and the emotions vary but the love of God is firm, is constant, is always focused ... it is a decision! It is about renewing our vision.
How can we renew our vision?
1. Let us be healed: With open wounds it is impossible to advance ... In order to shut up our pain is no usefull keep silence "When I kept quiet about my sin, my bones wasted away from crying all day long." (Psalm 32: 3). "Let us go with complete trust to the throne of God. We will receive His loving-kindness and have His loving-favor to help us whenever we need it." (Hebrews 4:16) ... God will never be forget his children (Romans 2:10) "He heals those who have a broken heart. He heals their sorrows." (Psalm 147: 3)
To be continued...
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
