¿Forgetting our identity?
1 John 4:4
"My children, you are a part of God’s family. You have stood against these false preachers and had power over them. You had power over them because the One Who lives in you is stronger than the one who is in the world."
One of the things where the devil attacks again and again to take advantage is in our identity (Matthew 4:3-7). Unfortunately, lack of reading and searching the Bible, lack of communion with the Lord and lack of prayer makes us distort who are children of God, who we are and what we can achieve ... in short, if we don't have understanding ( Hosea 4:6) we can possible be like a eaten bread to the devil!
But from today this will change! Let us search the Bible (our sword) and at the same time let's to understand 1 John 4:4 in order to know who we are:
1. We belong to God: We were created "Christ made everything in the heavens and on the earth. He made everything that is seen and things that are not seen. He made all the powers of heaven. Everything was made by Him and for Him." (Colossians 1:16) and we were also "God bought you with a great price. So honor God with your body. You belong to Him."(1 Corinthians 6:20).
2. We belong to the Royal Family and the Holy Spirit certifies it: "He gave the right and the power to become children of God to those who received Him. He gave this to those who put their trust in His name. 13 These children of God were not born of blood and of flesh and of man’s desires, but they were born of God." (John 1:12-13)... Further, "For the Holy Spirit speaks to us and tells our spirit that we are children of God." (Romans 8:16)
3. We must understand that there is a battle spiritual: "Our fight is not with people. It is against the leaders and the powers and the spirits of darkness in this world. It is against the demon world that works in the heavens." (Ephesians 6:12) therefore "It is true, we live in a body of flesh. But we do not fight like people of the world. We do not use those things to fight with that the world uses. We use the things God gives to fight with and they have power. Those things God gives to fight with destroy the strong-places of the devil. We break down every thought and proud thing that puts itself up against the wisdom of God. We take hold of every thought and make it obey Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
4. However, it must also be clear to us that even if there is war, battles around of us... well, nothing will ever separate us from God: "But we have power over all these things through Jesus Who loves us so much. For I know that nothing can keep us from the love of God. Death cannot! Life cannot! Angels cannot! Leaders cannot! Any other power cannot! Hard things now or in the future cannot! The world above or the world below cannot! Any other living thing cannot keep us away from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord."(Romans 8:37-39)
5. Therefore, if you can believe, ¡What a pity with the enemy but our nature is to overcome !: "Every child of God has power over the sins of the world. The way we have power over the sins of the world is by our faith. Who could have power over the world except by believing that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 John 5:4-5)
The enemy is defeated, is under our feet and if it rises again we will continue to defeat him in the name of Jesus Christ because everything that is born of God overcomes the world!
So if you have forgotten this, let me remember to you that you are overcomer! For we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired by God, who proclaim the virtues of him who called us to his marvelous light!
Do not let the world tell you otherwise! We are children of God!

But from today this will change! Let us search the Bible (our sword) and at the same time let's to understand 1 John 4:4 in order to know who we are:

4. However, it must also be clear to us that even if there is war, battles around of us... well, nothing will ever separate us from God: "But we have power over all these things through Jesus Who loves us so much. For I know that nothing can keep us from the love of God. Death cannot! Life cannot! Angels cannot! Leaders cannot! Any other power cannot! Hard things now or in the future cannot! The world above or the world below cannot! Any other living thing cannot keep us away from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord."(Romans 8:37-39)
5. Therefore, if you can believe, ¡What a pity with the enemy but our nature is to overcome !: "Every child of God has power over the sins of the world. The way we have power over the sins of the world is by our faith. Who could have power over the world except by believing that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 John 5:4-5)
The enemy is defeated, is under our feet and if it rises again we will continue to defeat him in the name of Jesus Christ because everything that is born of God overcomes the world!
So if you have forgotten this, let me remember to you that you are overcomer! For we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired by God, who proclaim the virtues of him who called us to his marvelous light!
Do not let the world tell you otherwise! We are children of God!
