For those who say "¿Hell? That does not exist ... God is love!"
Matthew 25:45-46
"Then He will say to them, ‘For sure, I tell you, because you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ These will go to the place where they will be punished forever. But those right with God will have life that lasts forever.”"
Throughout history many people have stand against of trying to justify that there is no eternal punishment and less than there is a place for such punishment, hell.
All those people argue that if God is love it is not possible that there is a God who is so cruel as to punish his creation... So, that history we have invented it for manipulation, influence fear and intimidation. However, the problem about do not believe on this is think we have already been forgiven so, we can do whatever we want because there is no punishment, but we forget that the Lord is a just God.
To avoid further misunderstanding, let's go to the Bible and see what it says:
1. It is a place that was created for the devil and his angels ... and anyone who does not do the will of the Father: "“Then the King will say to those on His left side, ‘Go away from Me! You are guilty! Go into the fire that lasts forever. It has been made ready for the devil and his angels." (Matthew 25:41)
2. It is a place of fire and torment: "In hell the rich man was in much pain. He looked up and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus beside him. He cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, take pity on me. Send Lazarus. Let him put the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in much pain in this fire.’" (Luke 16:23-24), "A third angel followed, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the wild animal and his false god and receives a mark on his forehead or hand, he will drink of the wine of the anger of God. It is mixed in full strength in the cup of God’s anger. They will be punished with fire and burning sulphur in front of the holy angels and before the Lamb. The smoke of those who are being punished will go up forever. They have no rest day or night. It is because they have worshiped the wild animal and his false god and have received the mark of his name."(Revelation 14:9-11).
3. It is a place of shame and perpetual confusion: "“At that time the great angel Michael, who watches over your people, will rise up. And there will be a time of trouble, the worst since there was a nation. But at that time, every one whose name is written in the Book will be taken out of the trouble. 2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake up. Some will have life that lasts forever, but others will have shame and will suffer much forever." (Daniel 12:1-2).
4. It is a place where the fire will not be put out and the worm will no die: "“Then they will go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have sinned against Me. For their worm will not die, and their fire will not be put out. And they will be a hated thing to all people.”" (Isaiah 66:24).
5. It is a place where the Lord's wrath burns: "For a fire is started by My anger. It burns to the very bottom of the place of the dead. It burns up the earth and all that grows on the earth. It burns the base of the mountains." (Deuteronomy 32:22).
6. It is a propitious place for those who did not know God or obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: "He does what is right and will allow trouble to come to those who are making it hard for you. He will help you and us who are suffering. This will happen when the Lord Jesus comes down from heaven with His powerful angels in a bright fire. He will punish those who do not know God and those who do not obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. They will be punished forever and taken away from the Lord and from the shining-greatness of His power." (2 Thessalonians 1:6-9)
7. It is a place where all those who are not written in the book of life, they will be thrown: "Then death and hell were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:14-15)
And I could go on with many more verses!
I do not want to instill terror or anything like that ... That's just what the Word of God says!
Please, let us read the Bible ... We know that God is love but He is also just and upright, and "The Lord is slow to anger and great in power. The Lord will be sure to punish the guilty." (Nahum 1:3a).
Jesus Christ came to pay our debt, He came to give us life and life in abundance. Sadly to reject this divine gift, it would mean not accepting God's forgiveness ... Very bad choice and this has its serious consequences!
¿Are we sure that our names are in the Book of Life?
