Lord made us free !! But ... to practice sin?
Galatians 5:1
'Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.'
'Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.' (Lamentations 3: 22-23)
God is good, yes He is!
It's cool to have been forgiven, reconciled, healed, sealed and released, but:
'What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.' (Romans 6:1-6)
'For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.' (1 Peter 2:15-16)
When we accept the Freedom God gives us, we accept that:
'I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.' (Galatians 2:20)
'But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.' (1 Peter 2:9-10)
What do you think? Freedom or debauchery?
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
