As if you were baby Christians...
1 Corinthians 3:1-3
'Christian brothers, I could not speak to you as to full-grown Christians. I spoke to you as men who have not obeyed the things you have been taught. I spoke to you as if you were baby Christians. My teaching was as if I were giving you milk to drink. I could not give you meat because you were not ready for it. Even yet you are not able to have anything but milk. You still live as men who are not Christians. When you are jealous and fight with each other, you are still living in sin and acting like sinful men in the world.'
Even when Jesus Christ has called us to go, make disciples and teach them all the things He has taught us, it is as if we DO NOT listen to or read the Bible ... That's why comes the gossip, lawsuits, murmurations, etc.
'There is much we could say about this, but it is hard to make you understand. It is because you do not want to hear well. By now you should be teachers. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the first things you need to know from God’s Word. You still need milk instead of solid food. Anyone who lives on milk cannot understand the teaching about being right with God. He is a baby. Solid food is for full-grown men. They have learned to use their minds to tell the difference between good and bad.' (Hebrews 5: 11-14)
With solid food we will going to exercise the:
'... hearts will be able to understand. I pray that you will know about the hope given by God’s call. I pray that you will see how great the things are that He has promised to those who belong to Him.' (Ephesians 1:18)
It is clear that:
'... the person who is not a Christian does not understand these words from the Holy Spirit. He thinks they are foolish. He cannot understand them because he does not have the Holy Spirit to help him understand.' (1 Corinthians 2:14)
We are not natural people!:
'... we are citizens of heaven. Christ, the One Who saves from the punishment of sin, will be coming down from heaven again. We are waiting for Him to return.' (Philippians 3:20)
So, for example, today we can put into practice:
'If there is someone whose faith is weak, be kind and receive him. Do not argue about what he thinks.' (Romans 14:1)
This is one of the many ways we can:
'Obey the Word of God. If you hear only and do not act, you are only fooling yourself.' (James 1:22)
To understand once and for all that:
'All the Holy Writings are God-given and are made alive by Him. Man is helped when he is taught God’s Word. It shows what is wrong. It changes the way of a man’s life. It shows him how to be right with God.' (2 Timothy 3:16)
If we read, we meditate on it ....
So ¿Do should we continue in the same way like as baby Christians?
'A man of no worth looks for wrong-doing. His words are like burning fire. A bad man spreads trouble. One who hurts people with bad talk separates good friends. A man who hurts people tempts his neighbor to do the same, and leads him in a way that is not good. He who winks his eyes plans to do bad things. He who closes his lips allows sinful things to happen.' (Proverbs 16:27-30)
So what will we do?
¿Do we want to exercise our discernment to be able to please God and go against the current and be thus children of light or do we want to please the designs and desires of this world and thus become enemies of God?
Let us make a decision!
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
