¿More excuses for not attending church?
Psalm 133:1
“See, how good and how pleasing it is for brothers to live together as one!”
“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”” (Psalm 122:1)
For in the house of the Lord:
- I can contemplate His beauty: "One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I will look for: that I may live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to look upon the beauty of the Lord, and to worship in His holy house." (Psalms 27:4 NTV)
- I can worship the King of Kings: "Then my head will be lifted up above all those around me who hate me. I will give gifts in His holy tent with a loud voice of joy. I will sing. Yes, I will sing praises to the Lord."(Psalm 27: 6).
- I can give thanks to God for every blessing received: "Do not be guilty of telling bad stories and of foolish talk. These things are not for you to do. Instead, you are to give thanks for what God has done for you." (Ephesians 5:4) "Always give thanks for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."(Ephesians 5:20)
- We can encourage one another: "So comfort each other and make each other strong as you are already doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11) "We ask you, Christian brothers, speak to those who do not want to work. Comfort those who feel they cannot keep going on. Help the weak. Understand and be willing to wait for all men."(1 Thessalonians 5:14)
- Because the day of the Lord is near: "There is another reason for doing what is right. You know what time it is. It is time for you to wake up from your sleep. The time when we will be taken up to be with Christ is not as far off as when we first put our trust in Him."(Romans 13:11).
- And : "... For there the Lord has given the gift of life that lasts forever." (Psalm 133:3b)
¿Do we want to lose all this? ¿Will we still make excuses not to go?
Remember, the key then is:
"Let us not stay away from church meetings. Some people are doing this all the time. Comfort each other as you see the day of His return coming near."(Hebrews 10:25)
Let's make a decision today and let's give time to the time Owner.
