We accumulate Word of God .. Wow! What a blessing keychain !! ... but when will we use any of them?
"Obey the Word of God. If you hear only and do not act, you are only fooling yourself. Anyone who hears the Word of God and does not obey is like a man looking at his face in a mirror. After he sees himself and goes away, he forgets what he looks like. But the one who keeps looking into God’s perfect Law and does not forget it will do what it says and be happy as he does it. God’s Word makes men free."
Will we be that someone? What good will a keychain of blessings if we do not use it?
Is not it supposed that "All the Holy Writings are God-given and are made alive by Him. Man is helped when he is taught God’s Word. It shows what is wrong. It changes the way of a man’s life. It shows him how to be right with God. It gives the man who belongs to God everything he needs to work well for Him." (2 Timothy 3: 16-17)?
Something is happening then, something in our system is making a short circuit ... So we must check:
1. How are our "Power the Word of God" wires-system? God has called us to actuate such as the Bible teach us: "God’s Word is living and powerful. It is sharper than a sword that cuts both ways. It cuts straight into where the soul and spirit meet and it divides them. It cuts into the joints and bones. It tells what the heart is thinking about and what it wants to do." (Hebrews 4:12)
2. How are our "Declaring the Word of God" wires-system? God has called us to declare the Word: As "So then, faith comes to us by hearing the Good News." (Romans 10:17a) and "... faith that does not do things is a dead faith." (James 2:17), then it is our duty to believe and declare the Word as if it were because " ... if we ask anything that He wants us to have, He will hear us. If we are sure He hears us when we ask, we can be sure He will give us what we ask for." (1 John 5: 14-15)
3. Who has connected in us the "Senselessness"? We are not foolish: It would not make sense to say that we are children of God and not to carry out the Word of God! That is why "Whoever hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down. The water came up. The wind blew and hit the house. The house fell and broke apart.”" (Matthew 7: 26-27) ... Since we are not foolish, we will put the Word of God to work at all times! "“Whoever hears these words of Mine and does them, will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain came down. The water came up. The wind blew and hit the house. The house did not fall because it was built on rock." (Matthew 7: 24-25)
4. Who has connected in us the "Fear"? We are not fear: If God is love (1 John 4: 8), and we have confessed Jesus as the son of God (1 John 4:15), as our Lord and Savior (Romans 10: 8-11), then we remain in God and God in us! (1 John 4:15) It is here that we understand that "There is no fear in love. Perfect love puts fear out of our hearts. People have fear when they are afraid of being punished. The man who is afraid does not have perfect love." (1 John 4:18) Therefore we know that he who tells us "Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will give you strength, and for sure I will help you. Yes, I will hold you up with My right hand that is right and good." (Isaiah 41:10) is God Himself! And is doing it!
"But we have power over all these things through Jesus Who loves us so much. For I know that nothing can keep us from the love of God. Death cannot! Life cannot! Angels cannot! Leaders cannot! Any other power cannot! Hard things now or in the future cannot! The world above or the world below cannot! Any other living thing cannot keep us away from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8: 37-39)
