¿Are we loyal?

Oseas 6:6
'I want loving-kindness and not a gift to be given in worship. I want people to know God instead of giving burnt gifts.'

Loyalty is a virtue that develops and implies fulfilling a commitment even in the face of changing or adverse circumstances. Therefore loyal is someone who is faithful: to God, to his leader, to his family, to his companions and to those who are under his charge.

In the Word of God we can have excellent instructions on how to be loyal, just as God:
1. Always find it faithful:
'Think of us as servants who are owned by Christ. It is our job to share the secrets of God. A servant must be faithful to his owner. This is expected of him.' (1 Corinthians 4:1-2)

2. His works are right:
'For the Word of the Lord is right. He is faithful in all He does.' (Psalm 33:4).

3. What he says is firm:
'O Lord, You are my God. I will praise You. I will give thanks to Your name. For You have been faithful to do great things, plans that You made long ago.' (Isaiah 25:1)

4. What he does is firm:
'Your Word is very sure. O Lord, Your house is holy forever.' (Psalms 93:5)

5. He is a confident:
'He who is always telling stories makes secrets known, but he who can be trusted keeps a thing hidden.' (Proverbs 11:13)

6. Always he uses mercy:
'What is desired in a man is his kindness, and it is better to be a poor man than a liar.' (Proverbs 19:22)

7. His words are always in accordance with his actions:
'My children, let us not love with words or in talk only. Let us love by what we do and in truth.' (1 John 3:18)

¿Could we say today that we are loyal?
¿What should we strengthen?

Another point of loyalty? 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.' (Hebrews 13:8)

God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
