¿Does our lamp have oil?
Psalm 27:4
“One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I will look for: that I may live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to look upon the beauty of the Lord, and to worship in His holy house.”
Today we find different groups debating whether the day to seek the Lord is Saturday or Sunday ... That is definitely better Saturday, not better Sunday ...
But ¿Have we thought that it would happen if the Lord comes on a Friday or a Tuesday? ¿Can you imagine if we only wait on Saturday or Sunday to look for Him?
Bible says, "The Son of Man will come as fast as lightning shines across the sky from east to west." (Matthew 24:27) ...
Bible teaches us to "Look for the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the sinful turn from his way, and the one who does not know God turn from his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have loving-pity on him. Let him turn to our God, for He will for sure forgive all his sins. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and My ways are not your ways,” says the Lord." (Isaiah 55:6-8)
¿Is there anyone who does not have a daily need of the Lord? ¿Is there anyone who does not need new strength from the daily fatigue of his labors? ¿Is there anyone who does not need daily direction from the Lord?...
But how about when we call to the Lord, he says: "Take a turn and come back on Saturday or Sunday"?
But how beautiful is the Lord "For He knows what we are made of. He remembers that we are dust."(Psalm 103:14) ...
Definitely, "It is because of the Lord’s loving-kindness that we are not destroyed for His loving-pity never ends. It is new every morning. He is so very faithful."(Lamentations 3:22-23)
He understands us and says, "“Come to Me, all of you who work and have heavy loads. I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
His arms are open everyday for us!
The Lord is willing, but we?
"The foolish women said to the wise women, ‘Give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’ But the wise women said, ‘No! There will not be enough for us and you. Go to the store and buy oil for yourselves.’ While they were gone to buy oil, the man soon to be married came. Those who were ready went in with him to the marriage. The door was shut."(Matthew 25:8-10)
"In the same way, you are to watch also! You do not know when the Owner of the house will be coming. It may be in the evening or in the night or when the sun comes up or in the morning. He may come when you are not looking for Him and find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to all. Watch!”" (Mark 13:35-37)
'Those servants are happy when their owner finds them watching when he comes. For sure, I tell you, he will be dressed and ready to care for them. He will have them seated at the table. The owner might come late at night or early in the morning. Those servants are happy if their owner finds them watching whenever he comes."(Luke 12:37-38)
"So remember what you have received and heard. Keep it. Be sorry for your sins and turn from them. If you will not wake up, I will come as a robber. You will not know at what time I will come."(Revelation 3: 3)
Will we continue to debate whether it is Saturday or Sunday, or will we seek the Lord every day so our lamp has oil and the Lord does not surprise us?
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
