Chill chill! I am an expert on this!
Psalm 127:1-2
'Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders work for nothing. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the men who watch over it stay awake for nothing. You rise up early, and go to bed late, and work hard for your food, all for nothing. For the Lord gives to His loved ones even while they sleep.'
Studying, getting a good job, building houses, having a company, investing in lucrative businesses, saving, among others, give us a state of trust to the point of feeling safe. However, David, who built and extended his dominions, who had the favor of the people thanks to so many victories and had many riches, he was knows that his trust was not in all of this but in the Lord!
David's conviction came from he clearly knew who the Lord was! That why his absolute dependence and trust in the King of Glory. He recognized that even if he were king of Israel, he had guard and people in charge ... he could get things out of hand. He knew that despite the inconveniences he had day by day he could say: "I will lie down and sleep in peace. O Lord, You alone keep me safe." (Psalm 4:8).
God wants to teach us that is not enough the giving, talent, study, business, money ... if Jesus is not the center ... "In vain work those who build it ... the men who watch over it stay awake for nothing" in short, we build on the sand.Today it is good to understand that:
1. Always in your hands is better: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not trust in your own understanding. Agree with Him in all your ways, and He will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
3. He wants to bring us to a deeper level of relationship with Him: "I had heard of You only by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You." (Job 42:5)
¿What if we start to trust the Lord and invite Him to every plan, dream, activity ... or everything we do day by day?
History teaches us that it is worthwhile, The Bible teaches us that it is worth it.
¿What do we say?
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
