¿Shall we disparage God's advice?

2 Chronicles 10:8-11
'But he rejected the advice which the elders had given him, and consulted the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him. And he said to them, “What advice do you give? How should we answer this people who have spoken to me, saying, ‘Lighten the yoke which your father put on us’?” Then the young men who had grown up with him spoke to him, saying, “Thus you should speak to the people who have spoken to you, saying, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy, but you make it lighter on us’—thus you shall say to them: ‘My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s waist! And now, whereas my father put a heavy yoke on you, I will add to your yoke; my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scourges!’”'

Every decision always has repercussions to good or bad consequences. So, ¿What is the source that we have to take advice?
¿The Lord, a friend, or simply the first person to tell us something?
Let's keep in mind that every time we discard God's advise for our lives we're going to end up in trouble where we can rarely solve.

The Bible teaches us that:
'He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.' (Proverbs 10:17)

We must learn to keep instruction and this is only possible by walking in the fear of the Lord:
'And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’”' (Job 28:28)

But such as wise persons, when we do not know what to do we should seek from the Lord and if possible, from that brother characterized by his good testimony and fear in the Lord because:
'Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.' (Proverbs 11:14)

Now, if the counsel is good, we should not only be hearers, but should do it:
'Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days.' (Proverbs 19:20)

This counsel and instruction must be aligned with the will of the Lord, because only Him we please Him:
'For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.' (Galatians 1:10)

¿Shall we despise the counsel of God, despise the counsel that comes from God today, or will we accept it?

God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
