¿Got envious?
1 Samuel 18:8-9
“Then Saul became very angry. This saying did not please him. He said, “They have given David honor for ten thousands, but for me only thousands. Now what more can he have but to be king?” 9 And Saul was jealous and did not trust David from that day on.”
Envy is born when we want to have something that someone has and we lack, however, envy is not supported it we want to get better but else this desire is inspired in order the other to get worse.
Usually, Envy blinds us to stop keeping to see what we are capable to do, robs us our peace, envy takes away our sleep, envy makes us forget what people has do for us, makes us to do bad things to destroy them instead of keep a good relationship with them. Envy takes us on a journey where hardly few persons can to return!
Always, Saul plotted against David, He looked for the way to kill him, Saul's mind hardly retained the good things David did it, He got envious, He wanted David's destruction!… “Then Saul said to David, “Here is my older daughter Merab. I will give her to you as a wife, if you only work for me with strength of heart and fight the Lord’s battles.” For Saul thought, “I will not go against him. Let the Philistines go against him.”” (1 Samuel 18:17) “Saul thought, “I will give her to David. I will use her to trap him, and the Philistines will go against him.” So Saul said to David a second time, “Now you may be my son-in-law.”” (1 Samuel 18:21) “Saul tried to nail David to the wall with the spear, but David got out of the way. Saul hit the wall with the spear, and David ran away that night. Then Saul sent men to David’s house to watch him, that he might kill him in the morning. But David’s wife Michal told him, “If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”” (1 Samuel 19:10-11)
How unfortunate it's to be envious! We can not see the opportunities, we can not see what God gave us and makes us lost sight like as blind!
Another example, Miriam and Aaron ... “Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite woman. They said, “Is it true that the Lord has spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it.” (Number 12:1-2)
Envy easy leads us to murmuring, makes us to speak bad things of our brothers by putting all kinds of evil arguments over them in order to make them see they are not deserve what they have! Sadly, Aaron and Miriam didn't realize the blessing to be brothers of Moses... Whom God spoke face to face! “At once the Lord said to Moses and Aaron and Miriam, “You three come out to the meeting tent.” So the three of them came out. Then the Lord came down in a cloud and stood at the door of the meeting tent, and called Aaron and Miriam. When both of them had come near, the Lord said, “Now listen to Me. If there is a man who speaks for God among you, I the Lord will make Myself known to him in a special dream. I will speak with him in a dream. Not so, with My servant Moses. He is faithful in all My house. With him I speak face to face in ways he understands, and not in ways he does not understand. And he sees what the Lord is like. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?” The Lord was angry with them, and He left. When the cloud lifted from over the meeting tent, Miriam had a very bad skin disease. She was as white as snow. Aaron turned toward Miriam and saw that she had a bad skin disease.” (Números 12:4-10).
Other example, Cain y Abel… “Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why are you looking down? Will not your face be happy if you do well? If you do not do well, sin is waiting to destroy you. Its desire is to rule over you, but you must rule over it.” (Genesis 4:6-7) La envidia nos lleva a no ver los beneficios que tenemos… El Señor le recalcó a Caín que “con todo esto, a ti será su deseo, y tú te enseñorearás de él.” pero su mente estaba puesta en acabar con lo que le estorbaba!
Envy leads us not to see benefits we have... The Lord remarked to Cain "If you do not do well, sin is waiting to destroy you. Its desire is to rule over you, but you must rule over it.." ¿Was impossible to understand?
Three examples and all lost something, missed the opportunity to take example, learn and improve their lives. Humm... Like the enemy, envy robs our peace, kills our desire to progress and to be better, and destroys the work of our hands!
"The robber comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy." (John 10:10a)

Today is our day to give completely our heart to the Lord, He can to heal us... Just now we will give Him all control and He rule all we are... Remember, The Word of God is that lamp who leads our mind to take down all argument in the Name of Jesus in order to we can see the opportunities and all what God gave us because His desire is "Dear friend, I pray that you are doing well in every way. I pray that your body is strong and well even as your soul is." (3 John 1:2)
