What does the Bible say about homosexuality, lesbianism, or other similar practices? (Part II)

Genesis 1: 27-28
"And God made man in His own likeness. In the likeness of God He made him. He made both male and female. And God wanted good to come to them, saying, “Give birth to many. Grow in number. Fill the earth and rule over it. Rule over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”"

3. Why do many do these practices ?: Because they are lost in their reasoning. Let us read ... "They did know God, but they did not honor Him as God. They were not thankful to Him and thought only of foolish things. Their foolish minds became dark. They said that they were wise, but they showed how foolish they were. They gave honor to false gods that looked like people who can die and to birds and animals and snakes. This honor belongs to God Who can never die. So God let them follow the desires of their sinful hearts. They did sinful things among themselves with their bodies. They traded the truth of God for a lie. They worshiped and cared for what God made instead of worshiping the God Who made it. He is the One Who is to receive honor and thanks forever. Let it be so. Because of this, God let them follow their sinful desires which lead to shame. Women used their bodies in ways God had not planned. In the same way, men left the right use of women’s bodies. They did sex sins with other men. They received for themselves the punishment that was coming to them for their sin. Because they would not keep God in their thoughts anymore, He gave them up. Their minds were sinful and they wanted only to do things they should not do. They are full of everything that is sinful and want things that belong to others. They hate people and are jealous. They kill other people. They fight and lie. They do not like other people and talk against them. They talk about people, and they hate God. They are filled with pride and tell of all the good they do. They think of new ways to sin. They do not obey their parents. They are not able to understand. They do not do what they say they will do. They have no love and no loving-pity. They know God has said that all who do such things should die. But they keep on doing these things and are happy when others do them also." (Romans 1: 21-32).
4. Any people who have done this and received divine punishment ?: Yes. Let us read ... "Do you remember about the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns around them? The people in those cities did the same things. They were full of sex sins and strong desires for sinful acts of the body. Those cities were destroyed by fire. They still speak to us of the fire of hell that lasts forever." (Jude 1 : 7).
5. Is it to say that those who practice these things will not enter into the Kingdom of God? "Do you not know that sinful men will have no place in the holy nation of God? Do not be fooled. A person who does sex sins, or who worships false gods, or who is not faithful in marriage, or men who act like women, or people who do sex sins with their own sex, will have no place in the holy nation of God. Also those who steal, or those who always want to get more of everything, or who get drunk, or who say bad things about others, or take things that are not theirs, will have no place in the holy nation of God." (1 Corinthians 6: 9-10)

It is definitely clear that the Word of God teaches us that performing these practices is sin ... however, it is possible that with all of the above we think that for this there is no way out but the Word of God teaches us that of course if there is!
Notice that God, instead of having rejected us or used all His power to eradicate humanity from so much sin, God in His immense wisdom established a wonderful plan ... "But God showed His love to us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5: 8). Yes, it is! "God has shown His love to us by sending His only Son into the world. God did this so we might have life through Christ. This is love! It is not that we loved God but that He loved us. For God sent His Son to pay for our sins with His own blood." (1 John 4: 9-10).

To be continued...

God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
