How do we see ourselves from here to ... 3 years? (Part II)
Ecclesiastes 12: 1
"Remember also your Maker while you are young, before the days of trouble come and the years when you will say, “I have no joy in them,”"
"Remember also your Maker while you are young, before the days of trouble come and the years when you will say, “I have no joy in them,”"
3. We do not lose the focus: "It was told to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and to the rest of those who hated us that I had built the wall again. They were told that the wall had no more open places, but I had not yet set up the doors in the gates. So Sanballat and Geshem sent word to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together in one of the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they were planning to hurt or kill me. So I sent men with word to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” They sent word to me four times in this way, and I gave them the same answer." (Nehemiah 6: 1-4) ... The more focused we are, the more envious and slanderers will arise with the desire to numb our vision ... Will we pay attention to these? or since we do not have time... will we ignore them and not lose focus? "No, Christian brothers, I do not have that life yet. But I do one thing. I forget everything that is behind me and look forward to that which is ahead of me. My eyes are on the crown. I want to win the race and get the crown of God’s call from heaven through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3: 13-14)
4. Above all, let us put everything in the hands of God: "The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the thoughts of the heart. Trust your work to the Lord, and your plans will work out well." (Proverbs 16: 1-3) ... It would be a terrible mistake to undertake anything without the guidance of the Lord! ..."Trust in the Lord, and do good. So you will live in the land and will be fed. Be happy in the Lord. And He will give you the desires of your heart. Give your way over to the Lord. Trust in Him also. And He will do it." (Psalm 37: 3-5)
It would be a pity to waste time for laziness ... "Go to the ant, O lazy person. Watch and think about her ways, and be wise. She has no leader, head or ruler, but she gets her food ready in the summer, and gathers her food at the right time. How long will you lie down, O lazy person? When will you rise up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little rest, a little folding of the hands to rest, and being poor will come upon you like a robber, and your need like a man ready to fight." (Proverbs 6: 6-11)
It would be a shame to have tools (gifts and talents) and not to use them ... "“For the holy nation of heaven is like a man who was going to a country far away. He called together the servants he owned and gave them his money to use. He gave to one servant five pieces of money worth much. He gave to another servant two pieces of money worth much. He gave to another servant one piece of money worth much. He gave to each one as he was able to use it. Then he went on his trip. The servant who had the five pieces of money went out to the stores and traded until he made five more pieces. The servant who had two pieces of money did the same thing. He made two more pieces. The servant who had received the one piece of money went and hid the money in a hole in the ground. He hid his owner’s money." (Matthew 25: 14-18)
It would be a shame to say to the Lord, "You gave me life, but in my life I did not undertake anything" ... "For all of us must stand before Christ when He says who is guilty or not guilty. Each one will receive pay for what he has done. He will be paid for the good or the bad done while he lived in this body." (2 Corinthians 5:10)
What if we change the question "How do we see ourselves from here to ... 3 years?" to "How is the execution of our plan that we undertake from today to 3 years?"
"Remember also your Maker while you are young, before the days of trouble come and the years when you will say, “I have no joy in them,”"
(Ecclesiastes 12: 1)
God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
