Do rivers of living water flow from within us? (Part II)
John 7:38
"The Holy Writings say that rivers of living water will flow from the heart of the one who puts his trust in Me.”"
"The Holy Writings say that rivers of living water will flow from the heart of the one who puts his trust in Me.”"
Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary we receive the opportunity to express to others what we receive ... "For sure, I tell you, whoever puts his trust in Me can do the things I am doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father." (John 14:12) "For if a man belongs to Christ, he is a new person. The old life is gone. New life has begun. All this comes from God. He is the One Who brought us to Himself when we hated Him. He did this through Christ. Then He gave us the work of bringing others to Him. God was in Christ. He was working through Christ to bring the whole world back to Himself. God no longer held men’s sins against them. And He gave us the work of telling and showing men this. We are Christ’s missionaries. God is speaking to you through us. We are speaking for Christ and we ask you from our hearts to turn from your sins and come to God. Christ never sinned but God put our sin on Him. Then we are made right with God because of what Christ has done for us." (2 Corinthians 5: 17-21).
How could we shut up all this?
Fear, shame? " I am not ashamed of the Good News. It is the power of God. It is the way He saves men from the punishment of their sins if they put their trust in Him. It is for the Jew first and for all other people also. The Good News tells us we are made right with God by faith in Him. Then, by faith we live that new life through Him. The Holy Writings say, “A man right with God lives by faith.”" (Romans 1: 16-17)
Do not I like those people? "Giving thanks and speaking bad words come from the same mouth. My Christian brothers, this is not right! Does a well of water give good water and bad water from the same place? Can a fig tree give olives or can a grape-vine give figs? A well does not give both good water and bad water." (James 3: 10-12)
Do not know what to say? Well, first, "You are sinful and you know how to give good things to your children. How much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”" (Luke 11:13) and second, "The Holy Spirit will tell you what you should say at that time.”" (Luke 12:12)
Do not know how to do it? "If you do not have wisdom, ask God for it. He is always ready to give it to you and will never say you are wrong for asking." (James 1: 5)
If we do not share with others what God has done in us, where is the love for our fellow men? "You have not chosen Me, I have chosen you. I have set you apart for the work of bringing in fruit. Your fruit should last. And whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you. “This is what I tell you to do: Love each other." (John 15: 16-17)
If we do not share with others what God has done in us, how will they find the way? "But how can they call on Him if they have not put their trust in Him? And how can they put their trust in Him if they have not heard of Him? And how can they hear of Him unless someone tells them? And how can someone tell them if he is not sent? The Holy Writings say, “The feet of those who bring the Good News are beautiful.”" (Romans 10: 14-15)
Do we feel compassion for those around us?... You know? Jesus "... saw many people, He had loving-pity on them. They were troubled and were walking around everywhere. They were like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36)
Please let those rivers of living water run ... Today is a good day for not being seated and being indifferent ...
"Get up. Stand on your feet. I have chosen you to work for Me. You will tell what you have seen and you will say what I want you to say. This is the reason I have allowed you to see Me. I will keep you safe from the Jews and from the people who are not Jews. I am sending you to these people. You are to open their eyes. You are to turn them from darkness to light. You are to turn them from the power of Satan to the power of God. In this way, they may have their sins forgiven. They may have what is given to them, along with all those who are set apart for God by having faith in Me.’" (Acts 26: 16-18).
