Wanting to do something different but ... ¿Doing the same ?!

Nehemiah 2:4-5
'Then the king said to me, “What are you asking for?” So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your eyes, send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers’ graves. Let me build it again.”'

Like us, Nehemiah had a great dream, he wanted to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 1: 3)!
But ¿How could he materialize it? Well the Bible gives us some points to see that dream come true:
1. We have to fast and pray: "When I heard this, I sat down and cried and was filled with sorrow for days. I did not eat, and I prayed to the God of heaven." (Nehemiah 1:4). It becomes a project, and every project involves planning, so, ¿Who wiser than the Lord to give us the best strategy to undertake that project? "For the Lord gives wisdom. Much learning and understanding come from His mouth." (Proverbs 2:6). Nehemiah knew that without the guidance of the Lord his dream would only be a failure. So ... fasting and prayer!
2. We need to read the Bible to find grace and favor: "O Lord, hear the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who are happy to fear Your name. Make Your servant do well today, and give him loving-pity in front of this man.” Now I was the one who carried the cup for the king."(Nehemiah 1:11). Let us not forget that Nehemiah besides being  the one who carried the cup the king, he was a slave in exile, then, if we were Nehemiah... ¿What we could say to the king to will allow us come out whether we are slaves?!! Definitively, Nehemiah needed grace and favor, and this could only be bestowed on him by the Lord!
Now, "My son, do not forget my teaching. Let your heart keep my words ... So you will find favor and good understanding in the eyes of God and man." (Proverbs 3:1,4). Reading Bible brings its benefits!
3. ¿Looking the purpose far away of you and we do not doing to accomplish? Don't do it that anymore! It's time to get to work: "I told them how the hand of my God had brought good to me, and the words that the king had spoken to me. Then they said, “Let us get up and build.” So they put their hands to the good work. But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite servant, and Geshem the Arab heard about it, they made fun of us and hated us. They said, “What is this thing you are doing? Are you turning against the king?” I answered them, “The God of heaven will make it go well for us. So we His servants will get up and build. But you have no share or right or anything to be remembered in Jerusalem.”" (Nehemiah 2:18-20). Many will rise to prevent us from build up our dream, but if God has allowed us to undertake, ¿Why should we stop?
Cheer up! Let's get up and start, It's time to get to work and let's keep up with the good attitude that the Lord is fighting for us!
4. Remember the reason what we are working on that (Purpose): "When I saw their fear, I got up and said to the rulers and leaders and the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord Who is great and honored with fear. And fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” When those who hated us heard that it was known to us, and that God had brought trouble to their plan, then all of us returned to the wall. Each one returned to his work." (Nehemiah 4:14-15). While we are going to carry out the project, there will always be inconveniences ... But remembering that God fights for us, what God has allowed us, how far we have arrived at this point and not losing the goal, makes us gain new strength to continue because God strengthens our hands!
5. And at the end, let us remember that the glory and honor belong to the Lord: "So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month of Elul, in fifty-two days." (Nehemiah 6:15). "Then Ezra gave honor and thanks to the Lord the great God. And all the people answered, “Let it be so!” while lifting up their hands. They bowed low with their faces to the ground and worshiped the Lord." (Nehemiah 8:6). Nehemiah never said that he succeeded in his forces ... He always gave glory and honor to God! At this point it is fitting to remember that througt God just was possible that we have succeeded in this project. ¿Shall we give glory and honor to the Lord? But even so, we must thankful God in every step we accomplish!

We can not achieve something different by always doing the same thing. Effort, work, attitude and dedication are required. Although problems arise, we must keep in mind that we can do everything in Christ who strengthens us. Remember that Greater is the one in us than the one in the world! We have the mind of Christ! Stop looking around! Like as Nehemiah, We going to undertake that dream, go ahead!

God bless you and have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
