Waiting confidently
Proverbs 23:18
“ For sure there is a future and your hope will not be cut off.”
One of the things that we least like is have to hope. Our environment teaches us we should receive inmediately things because hope is a waste of time ... However, The Word of God teaches us we should shelter what we yearn for in advance. ¿What contrast does not?
There will come many people or circumstances that will try to stress us about that promise or dream we are waiting... They will go of making fun of us... But know? This happened with David too... "As a breaking of my bones, those who hate me speak sharp words to me. All day long they say to me, “Where is your God?” 11 Why are you sad, O my soul? Why have you become troubled within me? Hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my help and my God." (Psalm 42: 10-11). David understood that the God who he attributed the qualifications as Great and Mighty, It's real and would also save him and soon he would receive what he longed... Just waiting in God! He knew God is not a lier!
Probably our scenario is: "We have been waiting so long, We are know a little older, Our strength is gone, It's already impossible to wait"... "Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed. He said to himself, “Will a child be born to a man who is 100 years old?" (Genesis 17:17) "Now Abraham and Sarah were old. They had lived many years. The way of women had stopped for Sarah. So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “Will I have this joy after my husband and I have grown old?”" (Genesis 18:11-12) ... but today God raises our heads and reminds us that Nothing, nothing is imposible to Him "Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”" (Genesis 18:14). So "Be strong. Be strong in heart, all you who hope in the Lord." (Psalm 31:24). We should discard every thought that wants us to give up trusting God... ¿Are we tired or weak? "He gives strength to the weak. And He gives power to him who has little strength. Even very young men get tired and become weak and strong young men trip and fall. But they who wait upon the Lord will get new strength. They will rise up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weak." (Isaiah 40:29-31)
Cheer up! Like a pregnant who is waiting during 9 month, she knows that Great, Mighty, Wonderful and Good is God so that after 9 months she can embrace the promise because "... When we have stood the test, it gives us hope. Hope never makes us ashamed ..." (Romans 5:4-5).
God knows what we're going through... Do not give up! "But if we hope for something we do not yet see, we must learn how to wait for it." (Romans 8:25) "For sure there is a future and your hope will not be cut off." (Proverbs 23:18)
It's time to turn on our faith and begin to believe in the Lord... “Did I not say that if you would believe, you would see the shining-greatness of God?”
