¿Are you in the hole of danger?
Psalm 40:1-3
'I did not give up waiting for the Lord. And He turned to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the hole of danger, out of the mud and clay. He set my feet on a rock, making my feet sure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and will put their trust in the Lord.'Probably, if we say which is the hole of danger that we are into, and we tell about this to somebody, probably the answer would be 'I will pray for you', but it's possible that not be what we expected, the reason is because we want an immediate response to our problems ... We want that through a magic stick our problems disappear, but the Bible says:
' I have told you these things so you may have peace in Me. In the world you will have much trouble. But take hope! I have power over the world!' (John 16:33)
We should understand:
'I can do all things because Christ gives me the strength.' (Philippians 4:13)
Yes, we know it! It is so difficult to understand all these things when we are desperate... Therefore:
What should we do to get out of the hole of danger?:
'Because of this, they were put in the inside room of the prison and their feet were put in pieces of wood that held them. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs of thanks to God. The other men in prison were listening to them. All at once the earth started to shake. The stones under the prison shook and the doors opened. The chains fell off from everyone.' (Acts 16: 24-26)
'A man cannot please God unless he has faith. Anyone who comes to God must believe that He is. That one must also know that God gives what is promised to the one who keeps on looking for Him.' (Hebrews 11:6)
'All the Holy Writings are God-given and are made alive by Him. Man is helped when he is taught God’s Word. It shows what is wrong. It changes the way of a man’s life. It shows him how to be right with God. It gives the man who belongs to God everything he needs to work well for Him.' (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
'‘Call to Me, and I will answer you. And I will show you great and wonderful things which you do not know.’' (Jeremiah 33: 3)
'He is working in you. God is helping you obey Him. God is doing what He wants done in you.' (Philippians 2:13)
'Then he said to me, “This is the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by strength nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of All.' (Zechariah 4:6)
'The robber comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy...'
But while Jesus Christ, who is with us, says:
'...I came so they might have life, a great full life.' (John 10:10)
'He brought me up out of the hole of danger...'
