Are we in unequal yoke with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit?
2 Corinthians 6:14-15
“Do not be joined together with those who do not belong to Christ. How can that which is good get along with that which is bad? How can light be in the same place with darkness? How can Christ get along with the devil? How can one who has put his trust in Christ get along with one who has not put his trust in Christ?”
When we were little many times often when we needed permission to go somewhere, we used cunning to create a great strategy to ask our parents if they let us go. So we asked each of them in order to look for a positive answer and then whether there was disagreement and one of them claim us, we simply said: "My mom or dad let us go".
However, This does not apply for Father, Son and Holy Spirit because everything for them is absolutly clear! There is no division among them! So If we want to know what They think then let us go to read it to the Holy Writing.
Usually, the verse mentioned above is related to "not making couple with any who do not belong to Christ yet to avoid future problems"... but today we're going to the Word and see rather where we can be in an unequal yoke:
1. Do we like to be served but do not like to serve?: ¿How many times have we gone a restaurant and to got angry when the waiter serve us wrong? Well... ¿How many times we have taken the waiter's role? ... "For the Son of Man came not to be cared for. He came to care for others. He came to give His life so that many could be bought by His blood and made free from the punishment of sin.”" (Matthew 20:28)
2. Is it still a dilemma for us "To give"?: ¿Are we who say "Please! Make way! We have come to receive!" or "We have come to help ¿What could we do?"... "Each man should give as he has decided in his heart. He should not give, wishing he could keep it. Or he should not give if he feels he has to give. God loves a man who gives because he wants to give." (2 Corinthians 9:7)
3. Have we forgotten what is to be Peacemakers?: ¿Are we often who say: "We are better off without that person!" or "Definitely, we are all needed through God's eyes"? ... "For all men have sinned and have missed the shining-greatness of God. Anyone can be made right with God by the free gift of His loving-favor. It is Jesus Christ Who bought them with His blood and made them free from their sins." (Romans 3:23-24)
4. Forgive? We? Do the Lord wants that we forgive this person?: ¿Have we still conflict to forgive? ... "Our Father in heaven, Your name is holy." (Matthew 6:9) "Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us." (Matthew 6:12) Is it just a beautiful prayer or really the Lord wants we practice it?
and 5. Have we follow the Jesus' example or men's example?: ¿Are we still want to justify what we yearn? "I have done this to show you what should be done. You should do as I have done to you. For sure, I tell you, a workman who is owned by someone is not greater than his owner. One who is sent is not greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you will be happy if you do them." (John 13:15-17)
Jesus says:
“Follow My teachings and learn from Me. I am gentle and do not have pride. You will have rest for your souls. 30 For My way of carrying a load is easy and My load is not heavy.”” (Matthew 11:29-30)
